12seconds for Peace - Donata Kalinauskaite - 2
Visually and musically stunnning, Donata's work here in bringing to life one of the most oft-quoted statements in the peace movement should be taken note of. We are never going to arrive at peace because peace is something that we should be carrying along the road with us at all times. Again, we find once more that peace is firstly an internal and personal process and only then does it externalise and manifest in the outer world.
Many thanks for your wonderful contribution once more Donata!

12seconds for Peace - Liane Legey - 3
I think we shall see more of Liane's work in the 12 seconds format for Humanity Healing International in the not too distant future. As others have found, once you realise how easy it is and how versatile the 12 second format can be, there is a tendency to keep on going and making more and more mini peace videos! Put them all together, and the result is truly beautiful!
The first ten minutes of 12seconds for Peace is now almost complete. Once done, this will be uploaded to our YouTube channel and released here. It is a truly extraordinary work - bringing together the voices and intent of people from all around the globe; focused on the manifestation of peace.
Please keep the videos coming in. This project has no end and the collection of videos, to be handed over to a leading contemporary artist from which a new video art-work will be made, needs to grow further.

12seconds for Peace - Abdullah Turan Özşahin
The attitude of gratitude is so fundamental to living a happy and peaceful life. As individuals, once we can start to be grateful for the blessings that we have in our lives, then the state of peace will automatically follow. Once we can collectively express gratitude, then we start to solve the problems that the world faces too. Peace can come from simply being grateful and living in the attitude of gratitude on a daily basis: individually and collectively.

12seconds for Peace - Chris Buck - 2
As the president of Humanity Healing International, Chris is personally all too aware of the terrible price that we collectively pay over and over again from not embracing peace. His recent trip to Uganda to establish and work on a project there to aid the victims of war highlighted the terrors and horrors that are inflicted on humanity, by humanity on a daily basis. We are all responsible for the state of the world as it is today; we can all change the state of the world as it is today.
If you would like to know more of the work of Humanity Healing on the ground in Uganda, and the details of Chris' recent trip, you can find it here.

12seconds for Peace - Donata Kalinauskaite
Donata has been a long time supporter of this project and has offered much moral support and advice. In this video she has used a music clip from a friend Paul Collier, and although if is difficult to get a flavour of his beautiful work from this video, you can find more of his work here. A musician that it is well worth checking out for the healing and compassion that he brings into the world.

12seconds for Peace - Eleanor Roosevelt
Wife of president Franklin D Roosevelt and a civil rights advocate, Eleanor was very much involved in the formation of the United Nations. Appointed by Harry S Truman as a delegate to the UN General Assembly from 1945 to 1952, she chaired the committee that drafted and approved the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In tribute to her achievements on the world stage in the field of human rights, Truman called her 'the First Lady of the World'.

12seconds for Peace - Martin Luther King, Jr
With his famous 'I have a dream' speech, delivered in Washington in 1963, King established himself as one of the USA's greatest orators and raised the nations awareness of the civil rights movement. In 1964, through his efforts to bring about the end of racial segregation and discrimination by non-violent means, he became the youngest person ever to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. King is not only an American icon, but an example to us all of what Gandhi asked of us: "to be the change that we want to see in the world".

12seconds for Peace - Humanity Healing
Whilst I am less involved than I once was in the day to day business of Humanity Healing, preferring to work much more as a 'loose canon' on the fringes of the organisation, it is still a huge pleasure to receive an official contribution to 12seconds for Peace from Humanity Healing.
12seconds for Peace is growing and spreading outwards. In conjunction with Humanity Healing, it is negotiating with other non-profit and charitable organisations to support, highlight and raise funds for their work. Details will be posted here as they become available. In the meantime, check out the latest issue of Humanity Healing's 'Om-Times' magazine where a selection of 12seconds for Peace videos has been featured. Click the link here.

12seconds for Peace - Leo Tolstoy
Tolstoy, famous for his novels 'War and Peace' and 'Anna Karenina' was, towards the latter part of his life, a fervent pacifist and Christian anarchist. Both Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr were influenced by his ideas of nonviolent resistance as expressed through his work 'The Kingdom of God is Within You'.
We can all make a difference in the world. Peace should not be a dream; it should be a goal. Help manifest it by contributing to 12seconds for Peace in support of the work of Humanity Healing with the war victims of Uganda.

12seconds for Peace - Andie Vargas-Sattler - 2
Below the video we are giving Andie's creative inclinations full-reign and letting her follow through with a dire warning of how things might yet be, if we let them.
Imagine a time-frame, perhaps many years into the future, after perpetual wars have been fought, to no avail. Infrastructure is no longer uniformly in place and communication is an infrequent entity amongst people. Supplies and food sources are low, and suffering is prevalent. This video is presented as a creative statement and response to that condition for the 12 Seconds for Peace endeavor. A fictitious, clandestine bootleg-video press-release, a plea for peace, was created to look rugged and textured, as if compiled with rudimentary materials, not readily market-available for those that can access the message in high conflict, war-torn areas. The message is self-sustaining, imploring for an awakening to all mankind, knowing the answer lies within as an internal decision, with a decided action that can take place in a matter of moments.
Seconds indeed can change a world, if our internal world is changed first, via a powerful decision to replace the love of power with the power of love.

12seconds for Peace - Mohandas Gandhi
12seconds for Peace shall, from time to time, be presenting videos that highlight some of their most important messages on the theme of peace. Our first in the series; which we shall call 'Leaders and Teachers for Peace' is from Mohandas Gandhi.
If you would like to contribute to this series of videos, then please do. There are many profound and important teachings on peace from the annals of history that are worthy of inclusion within the 12seconds for Peace project.

12seconds for Peace - Widyan Shaat
Widyan came to 12seconds for Peace via Facebook and following a number of conversations with her and her friends and associates in Palestine, decided to contribute to this project to let the world know of their desire for peace; for themselves, for their neighbours, for all people in the world.
I am sure that we shall see more of Widyan and her friends in the coming weeks and months.
