Contributions from visual artists have been very under-represented on 12seconds for Peace, so receiving this explosion of colour from findthepixie is a great joy! The beautiful and powerful images here bring something of a poetic flavour to the expression for peace and ratchet up the aesthetic of the project once more.



Art has always been a powerfully transformative tool in the history of the world. On the back of great art have ridden great civilisations, great expressions of the human spirit and profound yearnings for a world filled with beauty and joy. If you are an artist and wish to join us on this journey of transformation for all humankind, then send in your video and let the decision-makers of the world know that we now, collectively, desire peace.

Since I have been out and about teaching a lot of Reiki recently and encouraging my students to contribute a 12seconds for Peace - Reiki for Peace video, I thought it was about time I made one myself. The great philosopher-sage Lao Tzu is said to have lived two and a half millenia ago in China and is the reported author of one of the great literary works of human consciousness: the Tao Te Ching. Whilst Lao Tzu's existence as hotly debated, there is no denying that the wisdom that came out of the birth of the Tao at this time and it's alignment with Confuscianism have had a major impact on the world.

12seconds for Peace - String's Creative Alchemy Podcasts

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of spending some time with Cheryl Stringall and Tony Lowe. Both Cheryl and Tony were not only delightful hosts, but fascinating and heart-centred people that shared with me their multi-faceted passions across the creative, philosophic and metaphysical spectrums for many hours.

As the first to contribute to the 12seconds for Peace project and firm supporters of the concept and it's goals, it was with great pleasure that I agreed to take part in an interview as a part of  'String's Creative Alchemy Podcasts'. 12seconds for Peace - Democracy Village

12seconds for Peace was out and about in London yesterday and made a bee-line for the impromptu ramshackle 'Democracy Village' encampment on Parliament Square Gardens just opposite the Houses of Parliament - the place where democracy was born.

Although it looks as if Democracy Village are about to get evicted following an injunction obtained by the Mayor of London; Boris Johnson, it was too good an opportunity to get at least one person on camera making a statement for peace.

Here is a video just in for 12seconds for Peace, with some punch behind it from Kim Scott delivering the message of 'Words of Peace' teacher Prem Rawat.

12seconds for Peace - Summer Slaughter!

12seconds for Peace is gearing up for a rip-roaring, head-banging, rock-frenzy of peace this weekend thanks to Murdock's Trinity Records and Promotions who are staging their Summer Slaughter show at the 910 Live Club, Continental Tempe, Arizona, USA, in aid of 12seconds for Peace! Watch the live feed here! The show goes on from 6pm to 2am Arizona time on Saturday 26th June, so don't miss it! If you do miss it, then you can still catch up with the recorded video of the performance that will replace the live feed here after the event.

Murdock's Trinity Records & Promotions are staunch supporters of 12seconds for Peace and will be encouraging fans to record their own 12seconds for Peace videos during and after the event, so once we have checked these, watch for them here in the coming days.

Peace in Our Lifetime has been active in the push for peace in the world for a number of years and has steadily been building a huge support base from across the globe. 12seconds for Peace is very happy to be aligned with their efforts to build a more just and equitable world for all and to promote their Peace in Our Lifetime certificates which you can find in the sidebar of this blog. Simply fill it in and download.

Peace in Our Lifetime are very much involved in the activities around the United Nations 'International Day of Peace' and further details of 12seconds for Peace's involvement in this day as it stands alongside Peace in Our Lifetime, will be posted here very soon.

The latest contribution to the 12seconds for Peace phenomenon is from a very good friend and supporter of the project; Marcia Johnson who is the creator of 'The Eaupening'.

In the words of The Eaupening: "The Eaupening (opening) is the social network that brings to light all that is good in the world and in ourselves." And this is does admirably.
